May Bulk Amnesty Event
The Amnesty Event will be held on Saturday, May 9 from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM to help residents dispose of large household items safely and conveniently.
Date and Amnesty Areas (Items MUST be brought to the location)
Drop off of items will be at the rear of 354 East Broadway, Salem NJ 08079

• Grant – 9th – Keasbey Street
• Allen Street
• Craven Street
• Grant – 9th – Keasbey
• Fenwick Street
• Keasbey Street
• Morrison Avenue
• North Elm Street
• North Union Street
• Roe Street
Must have identification for proof of residence in the designated amnesty area.
Accepted Items Include:
- Furniture
- Mattresses & Box Springs
- Appliances
- Please Note: No hazardous materials (paint, chemical, etc) or construction debris
- A separate dumpster will be made available for brush and tree limbs on each Amnesty Event date.

The Streets Department is responsible for maintaining city streets, snow plowing, and leaf pickup. It is located at 515 Grieves Parkway, Salem NJ 08079.

- May 23, 2026 – Broadway – South Front – Walnut, Carpenter, Chestnut, Chestnut Terrace(s), Hedge, Meadowside, Miller, Oak, Smith Street – Walnut, South 3rd Street, Tillbury Road – Salem City Line, Thompson, Walnut, Wesley Street – Walnut
