Ordinance Authorizing The Sale And Execution Of a Redevelopment Agreement For Block 5, Lots 26, 27, & 28 On The Official Tax Map Of The City Of Salem And The Execution Of All Necessary Documents And An Ordinance Amending Chapter 210 Of The Code Of The City Of Salem, New Jersey Entitled “Towing” And An Ordinance Amending Chapter 163 Of The Code Of The City Of Salem, New Jersey Entitled “Property Maintenance”

Ordinance 26-01, 26-02 and 26-03, the titles of which are published herewith, were introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the Common Council of the City of Salem, in the County of Salem, New Jersey, held on January 26, 2026.  They will be further considered for final passage after public hearing thereon, at a meeting of said Common Council to be held in the Olde County Courthouse, 113 Market Street, Salem , NJ  on February 9, 2026 at 5:30 P.M. and during the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting, copies of said ordinances will be made available at the Clerk’s Office in the Municipal Building Annex, 125 West Broadway, Salem, to the members of the general public who shall request the same.

  • The purpose of Ordinance 26-01 is to  authorize the sale of City owned properties.
  • The purpose of Ordinance 26-02 is to amend the City Towing policies and procedures.
  • The purpose of Ordinance 26-03 is to amend the City property Maintenance ordinance to include additional standards for premises.
