Landfill
The City of Salem Supports the Giordano Recycling Center
Project Overview
The City of Salem supports Giordano’s Recycling Center in repurposing an inactive landfill into a modern recycling facility. The center will process food waste and construction materials while maintaining strict odor and noise control measures.
Giordano’s requires approval from the Salem County Waste Advisory Council county commissioners and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection before proceeding. This project represents a significant opportunity for Salem by revitalizing unused land, improving sustainability, and contributing to the local economy.
