Notice Is Hereby Given by the City of Salem that sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, Salem City Municipal Building, 17 New Market Street, Salem, New Jersey 08079, for the provision of Chemicals for the City of Salem in accordance with specifications and proposal forms. Specifications and proposal forms may be obtained by contacting the office of the City Clerk at 856.935.0372; or in person during regular business hours, at the Municipal Building located at 17 New Market Street, Salem, New Jersey 08079. These documents will also be available on the website at cityofsalemnj.gov.
Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the name of the bidder together with the notation “SEALED BID FOR THE PROVISION OF CHEMICALS” or “SEALED BID FOR THE PROVISION OF WATER METERS”. Said bids will be received by the City Clerk until December 14, 2021 by 11:00AM prevailing time, at which time they will be open and read in public at the Municipal Building Annex, 17 New Market Street Salem, New Jersey.
Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Salem in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price of the proposal. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of NJ.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq, N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq, N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 and all applicable laws as may apply.
No bid may be withdrawn without the consent of the City of Salem for a period of sixty (60) days after the time for opening of bids is passed. The City of Salem reserves the right to reject any and all bids in accordance with the Local Public Contract Laws. Ben Angeli, RMC
